On the back of a record-breaking season in which he scored 31 times in the 2022/23 campaign, Andy signed a three-year deal which will keep him at the University of Bradford Stadium until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Born in Bishop Auckland, Cook started his professional career at Carlisle United before finding regular football at Barrow.
He ended his three-year spell in Cumbria as Barrow’s top goalscorer, netting 17 in 39 appearances.
The striker then moved to Grimsby Town in the summer of 2012, and scored at Wembley for the Mariners in the FA Trophy Final, before falling short to Wrexham in the penalty shoot-out.
After another spell at Barrow, Cook spent two seasons at Tranmere Rovers and was the top goalscorer in both of his seasons at Prenton Park, aiding Tranmere to promotion into the EFL in 2017/18.
Establishing himself in the EFL, the No.9 spent time at Walsall and Mansfield Town, before signing for the Bantams on loan in the 2020/21 season. He has ended each campaign with City as the club’s top scorer.
Cook had his most prolific campaign in 22/23, scoring 31 goals in all competitions and becoming the first Bantam in history to end the season as the outright divisional top goalscorer, picking up the club’s Player of the Year award.
